Mia Chapman off road About Steve "Wheels" Bacaro

Driver Bio: In 1998 I was involved in a motorcycle accident that left me paralyzed from the chest down and am in a wheelchair. The only thing I had a passion for was cars, so in 1999 I started my business called "Check Me Out Customs", this kept me in the automotive industry has been my drive for the past twenty years. Since then I have built more than six vehicles and have been featured in multiple magazines. Being disabled I have my limitations, but it just means that I do things a little different and people are able to see what I have accomplished while still living in a wheelchair.
My dream had always been to race. In 2010 I bought the easiest to make accessible, and most inexpensive off-road car I could afford. And the Honda Pilot & my racing dream was born! I ran it in the Lucas Oil Regional Series & Dirt Series winning multiple Championships.

A small mishap and last ever race in the Honda Pilot while in Cal City on 4/9/17. Left me with a broken neck at C6/7. Which had put my racing on hold throughout 2017. This putting my 1997 Blazer Mini-Open build on hold for yet another year. In 2015 I started this build to make the move up in class, on my way to my real dream of racing a ProLite! 2011/2012/2013 Lucas Oil Regional Series Champion in the Pilot class. Dirt Series 2013/2014 class Champion.

In February of 2018 I was able to finally race the Blazer and will be competing in the entire Lucas oil Regional Series. In only my second ever race in the new truck I managed a 3rd place. Being my rookie season I hope to make the podium on more than one occasion. Race Truck Details: 1997 Chevy S-10 Blazer.
